PLEASE READ REGARDING THIS WEEKENDS GAME
Hi all,
We have had to make a late change to the venue and draw. A concern around safety was raised today, having visited the field and in discussions with Norwest it has been decided that it would be unsafe to have 3 full size fields on the oval. Put simply there would be a significant risk of collision across ovals and the corresponding reduction in field size to accommodate a safe size would have meant we would significantly compromise the games in the older age groups.
As such the decision was made to use an additional back up oval 600 metres away – Exeter Farm Reserve see map below. There will be first aid at this venue in addition to the main venue – Norwest – Alwyn Lindfeld Reserve.
In order to keep times similar and make minimal changes to the draw the U15s age group as a whole has been moved (and a couple of small draw changes). This means that the U11s, 13s, and 17s venue has not moved.
We understand that this may create some difficulties with some teams that have a coach across U15 and U17s or other similar, however this is the only option we have had at such late notice.
