We are so excited to announce the launch of Wakehurst Rugby Club’s first ever Colt’s team!
Our launch this week had 16 players turn up to try on our new jerseys which were kindly sponsored by Barber’s Point Belrose
Wakehurst Rugby Club has a long and distinguished history, and we took the opportunity to pay tribute to a club legend Gareth Blades. Bladesie has been part of Wakehurst since 1986, coaching numerous sides, he has been club president, treasurer and is a life member.
We took the opportunity to surprise Bladesie with an acknowledgment of his long-term commitment to the club by putting his name on the back of the jerseys. Bladesie was very humbled and lost for words which is a rare event in itself.
