Last weekend almost 70 players and families travelled to Forster to compete in the Sevens State Championships over 3 days. Fielding U13, U15 and U17 Boys and Girls teams it was a weekend of firsts for the club having never previously had Sevens or Girls teams.
Was an amazing weekend and thanks to all the coaches and managers for looking after the players, the Ratettes for coaching the Girls teams, Boyd Killingworth and Tui Ormsby for your Sevens coaching and to the parents and families for supporting the players.
And a very special thanks to all the players who represented Warringah this weekend, many for the first time. You showed the Rats spirit on the field, and importantly we received lots of feedback about your behaviour off the field during the tournament.
Tried to get a photo with all the teams together but was just too hard to coordinate with all the games being played over the weekend.
Already looking forward to the next Sevens tournament.
